EventsCollab Terms of Use

Last updated: October 22, 2026

If you live in Brazil, the Brazilian version of these Terms applies to you instead (choose "Brasil" as your country in the app).

1. Who we are

1.1. EventsCollab is provided by Wallace Danilo, an independent developer (individual) based in Cariacica, Espírito Santo, Brazil ("EventsCollab", "we", "us").

1.2. For anything about these Terms, contact help@eventscollab.com.

In short: these Terms are an agreement between you and the company behind EventsCollab.

2. Definitions

To make these Terms easier to read, these words have the following meaning:

  • App: EventsCollab for iPhone and Android, and the services connected to it.
  • User: anyone who uses the App, with or without an account.
  • Event: the space created in the App to gather the photos of an occasion (wedding, birthday, party, corporate event, trip, etc.).
  • Host: the User who creates and manages an Event.
  • Organizer: a User invited by the Host, through a link, to help curate the photos.
  • Guest: a User who joins an Event to take photos.
  • Photo: an image taken with the App's camera or uploaded from the phone's gallery to an Event.
  • Caption: the optional text, up to 140 characters, that the person who took a Photo can add to it.
  • Reveal: the date and time, set by the Host, from which approved Photos become visible to participants.
  • Curation: the Host's and Organizers' selection of Photos: approve, discard, favorite or delete.
  • Album: the set of approved Photos of an Event.
  • Album Closing: the Host's action that permanently locks the choices made for the PDF Album.
  • PDF Album: the file created only once after the Album Closing, with up to 50 favorite Photos.
  • Guest Session: sign-up-free access, tied to the device, used by Guests who do not create an account.

3. What EventsCollab is

3.1. EventsCollab is a collaborative photo album for events:

  • the Host creates the Event and sets its name, type, location (optional), cover, when the camera opens and closes, the Reveal date and how many Photos each Guest can take;
  • Guests join through a QR code, link or 6-character code and take Photos in the App, within the times and limits set;
  • Photos stay hidden from everyone, including the person who took them, until the Reveal.

3.2. The Host can set a text or frame that is printed on the Photo (camera filter). Each Guest chooses whether to use it.

In short: everyone takes photos, nobody sees anything early, and the album appears at the Reveal.

4. Who can use it

4.1. To create Events and hold a Host account, you must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into contracts.

4.2. To join as a Guest, you must be at least the minimum age to use online services without parental consent in your country (for example, 13 in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand; 14 in Spain and Italy; 15 in France; up to 16 in other countries of the European Union) or have the permission of a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these Terms on your behalf. Guests under 18 always need that permission.

4.3. The App is not directed at children under 13, and children under 13 must not use it themselves. Photos of children taken by adults at an Event must be handled with special care and always in the child's best interest.

In short: you must be an adult to create events; younger people can join as guests within the age rules of their country and with permission.

5. Accounts and guest access

5.1. You can use the App:

  • without an account: as a Guest, choosing only a display name. We then create a Guest Session tied to your device, so that you can return to the same Event with the same Photos;
  • with an account: signing up with email and password or with your Google account.

5.2. If you delete the App, change devices or clear its data, you may lose access to a Guest Session. To keep your Photos, we recommend creating an account.

5.3. You are responsible for keeping your password secret and for everything done with your access. Tell us right away if you suspect misuse.

5.4. Your display name must identify you honestly. You may not impersonate anyone or use offensive names.

In short: you can take part without signing up, but an account protects your photos if you change phones.

6. Roles in an event: host, organizers and guests

6.1. The Host is responsible for their Event towards its participants. The Host can:

  • set the Event's rules (times, Reveal, Photo limit, whether participants can see and download Photos, and whether photographers' names are shown);
  • invite and remove Organizers;
  • approve, discard, favorite and delete Photos;
  • edit or remove Captions;
  • correct a participant's display name in the Album credits, to avoid offensive or false names or impersonation;
  • choose which names appear in the PDF Album credits and which are grouped under "and X more guests";
  • close the Album and create the PDF Album.

6.2. Organizers help with Curation: they can approve, discard, favorite and delete Photos and moderate Captions. They cannot close the Album or change the Event.

6.3. Guests take Photos, upload Photos from their gallery and can caption their own Photos, always within the Event's rules.

6.4. The Host must use these powers in good faith and tell guests about the Event, including who will see the Photos.

In short: the host runs the event; organizers help choose the photos; guests take them.

7. Photos, captions and people's image

7.1. People have rights over their own image and privacy. When you take or upload a Photo, you confirm that:

  • the people shown agree to be photographed and to have their image shared within the Event;
  • you are not recording anyone in an intimate or humiliating situation or against their will;
  • you have a parent's or guardian's permission to photograph children.

7.2. Removal requests. Anyone shown in a Photo, even if they do not use the App, can ask for it to be removed:

  • from the Event's Host; or
  • by emailing help@eventscollab.com, identifying the Event and the Photo.

We will review the request within 24 hours and remove the Photo when it infringes someone's rights or these Terms. In serious cases, such as nudity, sexual content or exposure of minors, the Photo will be taken down immediately while we review the request.

7.3. Captions follow the same rules as Photos and can be edited or removed by the Host and Organizers.

In short: only photograph people who are happy to be photographed; anyone in a photo can ask for it to be removed.

8. Ownership and license of photos

8.1. Photos belong to the people who took them. EventsCollab does not become the owner of your Photos.

8.2. By uploading a Photo or Caption to an Event, you grant EventsCollab and the Host a free, non-exclusive, worldwide license limited to the Event and to the operation of the App to:

  • store the Photo and create smaller versions (thumbnails);
  • show it to the Event's participants, according to the rules set by the Host;
  • include it in the PDF Album, with its Caption and your display name in the credits, if the Host chooses;
  • let participants download it, if the Host allows downloads.

8.3. We do not use your Photos in advertising, do not sell them and do not use them for any purpose outside your Event without your express permission.

8.4. The license ends when the Photo is deleted, with two exceptions that you accept now:

  • copies that other participants have already downloaded;
  • a PDF Album already created, which cannot be changed after the Album Closing (see section 11).

8.5. Copyright complaints. If you believe a Photo infringes your copyright, send us a notice at help@eventscollab.com with: your contact details; the work you own; the Event and Photo concerned; a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner; and your physical or electronic signature. Users in the United States may send notices under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act to the same address.

In short: your photos stay yours; you only allow us to show them in your event, album and PDF.

9. Prohibited content and moderation

9.1. You may not upload or post in the App:

  • nudity, sexual or erotic content;
  • any content that sexualizes, exploits or exposes children. In these cases, besides removal and a permanent ban, we will report to the competent authorities (including, where applicable, the U.S. National Center for Missing & Exploited Children) and preserve the data needed for investigation;
  • violence, cruelty, weapons used to threaten, self-harm;
  • hate speech or discrimination of any kind;
  • illegal content, or content that infringes third-party rights (image, privacy, copyright, trademarks) or exposes someone's personal data;
  • display names or Captions that impersonate, insult or harass anyone;
  • spam, malware or any attempt to bypass the App's limits, times or security.

9.2. If these rules are broken, depending on how serious it is and without prior notice where the law allows, we may:

  • remove the content;
  • suspend or terminate the account or the access to the Event;
  • block new sign-ups by the person responsible;
  • report to the authorities.

9.3. Reporting and blocking. To report content, tap Report or block on the photo in the App, or email help@eventscollab.com, explaining why you think it is illegal or breaks these Terms. We review reports within 24 hours, and a reported photo stops showing for whoever reported it. You can also block the person who took a photo: you stop seeing their photos in every Event, and they are not notified (to unblock, use Settings > Blocked people). We will handle reports diligently and objectively. When we remove content or restrict an account, we will tell the person affected the reason, unless the law prevents us or it would put someone at risk, and they can ask us to review the decision by replying to that message.

In short: no sexual, violent, offensive or illegal content; zero tolerance for content involving children.

10. Reveal, curation and album

10.1. Until the Reveal, Photos stay hidden from all participants, including the person who took them. The Host and Organizers can curate from the moment the camera closes.

10.2. After the Reveal, participants see only approved Photos, and only if the Host lets guests see the Album.

10.3. Discarded or deleted Photos are not shown to Guests. A deleted Photo cannot be recovered.

In short: what goes into the album is the host's decision.

11. PDF album: closing and one-time creation

11.1. The Host can build a PDF Album with up to 50 favorite Photos. The Host chooses:

  • the layout and colors;
  • the Event's location;
  • the chapters (1 to 7);
  • the Captions;
  • the names in the credits (up to 100).

The PDF also shows the total number of Photos taken, and its last page includes an invitation with a QR code to discover the App.

11.2. The Album Closing is final. After it, the layout, colors, location, chapters, Album Photos, Captions and credits can no longer be changed.

11.3. The PDF Album is created only once and stored so that participants can download it after the Reveal.

11.4. Before closing, the Host can view watermarked previews as many times as they like and is responsible for reviewing the content before the Album Closing. EventsCollab does not recreate the PDF because of the Host's choices, except:

  • in case of a technical fault of the App; or
  • by legal order or a justified removal request (section 7.2). In that case, we may take the PDF down.

In short: once closed, the album no longer changes and the PDF is created only once; use the preview first.

12. Downloads and copies

12.1. If the Host allows it, participants can download Photos in original quality and the PDF Album.

12.2. Anyone who downloads a Photo or the PDF must respect the image and rights of the people shown. Downloaded copies are the responsibility of the person who downloaded them, and EventsCollab cannot delete them from other people's devices.

In short: what someone downloads stays with them; use it respectfully.

13. Privacy

13.1. How we handle personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

13.2. For the Photos of an Event, the Host decides what the Event is for and who takes part. EventsCollab processes data to provide the service and enforce these Terms. Each party's role is described in the Privacy Policy.

In short: the Privacy Policy explains how we take care of your data.

14. Storage and deletion

14.1. Photos and the PDF Album are stored for the period of the Event's plan, counted from the Reveal: 15 days on Free, 30 days on Plus, 3 months on Pro, 6 months on Ultimate and 12 months on Cerimonial. Before any automatic deletion, we will notify the Host at least 7 days in advance, so they and the participants can download their copies.

14.2. Deleting your account. You can delete your account at any time in the App (Profile > Privacy > Delete my account). This deletes:

  • your account;
  • the Photos you uploaded;
  • the Events you created, with all their Photos and PDF Album.

14.3. Deleting an Event. When the Host deletes an Event, it deletes the Event, all its Photos (including Guests' Photos) and the PDF Album. We recommend that the Host tells participants first so they can download their copies.

14.4. Even after deletion, we may keep access logs and data we must retain by law or need to defend ourselves in legal proceedings, only for as long as necessary. We cannot delete copies already downloaded by others or PDFs already shared.

In short: your photos are kept for a set period; you can delete everything whenever you want, but what has been downloaded stays with whoever downloaded it.

15. Price, testing phase and future payments

15.1. During the testing phase, the App is free, with all features available.

15.2. In the future we may offer paid packages per Event, with more guests and extra features. Before charging anything, we will clearly show the price (including applicable taxes), what each package includes and its conditions. Nothing will be charged without your express purchase.

15.3. Payments will be processed by specialist providers (Google Play and the App Store). We do not store your full card details.

15.3.1. Cerimonial subscription. The monthly subscription is billed by Google Play or the App Store and renews automatically every month until you cancel it in the store. Cancellation takes effect from the next month, and events already created stay stored for their plan's period. While the subscription is active, the events you create are on the Cerimonial plan with no per-event fee.

15.4. Right of withdrawal. If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have 14 days from the purchase to withdraw and get a full refund. Because a package is a digital service, if you ask us to start it during that period (for example, by opening the Event's camera with the extended limit), you will pay for the part already provided, and once the service has been fully provided you lose the right of withdrawal, provided you gave your express consent and acknowledgement at purchase. In other countries, the cancellation and refund rights of your local consumer law apply. Purchases are made through Google Play or the App Store, and you can request a refund directly from the store, under its rules, or by emailing help@eventscollab.com.

15.5. Purchases made through Google Play or the App Store also follow the refund rules of those stores.

In short: it is free today; if we ever charge, you will know beforehand and keep the refund rights of your country.

16. Service availability

16.1. During the testing phase, the App is provided "as is", and features may change, be added or be removed.

16.2. We work to keep the service available and secure, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free; interruptions may come from maintenance, suppliers, the internet or your device.

16.3. We recommend that Hosts and participants download copies of the Photos and PDF Album that matter to them.

In short: we do our best to keep the app running, but keep copies of what matters.

17. Liability

17.1. Each User is responsible for the content they upload (Photos, Captions, display names) and for how they use the Photos they download.

17.2. The Host is responsible for the rules and use of their Event, including Curation, the names in the credits and the Album Closing.

17.3. To the extent permitted by law, EventsCollab is not liable for:

  • content posted by Users, which we remove as described in sections 7 and 9;
  • what third parties do with downloaded copies;
  • failures caused by the User's device or connection, or by events beyond our reasonable control;
  • indirect or consequential losses, such as loss of profits or opportunities.

17.4. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim related to the App is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US$100.

17.5. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits rights that the consumer law of your country gives you and that cannot be waived, or our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

In short: each person is responsible for what they post; we are responsible for the service, within the limits of the law and never below your consumer rights.

18. Suspension and termination

18.1. You can stop using the App and delete your account at any time.

18.2. We may suspend or terminate access that breaks these Terms or the law (section 9). Otherwise, if we decide to shut down the App, we will give at least 60 days' notice so everyone can download their Photos.

In short: you can leave whenever you want; we only cut access for violations or with prior notice.

19. Changes to these Terms

19.1. We may update these Terms to reflect changes in the App or in the law.

19.2. We will announce significant changes in the App or by email at least 15 days before they take effect. If you do not agree, you can delete your account before they apply.

19.3. The date of the last update is always at the top of this document.

In short: if we change something important, we will tell you first.

20. Governing law and disputes

20.1. These Terms are governed by the laws of Brazil, without depriving you of the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live.

20.2. If you are a consumer, you can bring a claim in the courts of the place where you live, and we can only sue you there. Otherwise, the courts of Cariacica, Espírito Santo, Brazil have jurisdiction.

20.3. Before going to court, please contact our support: most problems are solved quickly. Consumers in the European Union can also use the out-of-court dispute resolution bodies of their country.

In short: you keep the protection of the laws where you live and can resolve any dispute there.

21. Regional terms

These additional terms apply depending on where you live. If they conflict with the rest of these Terms, they prevail.

21.1. European Union and European Economic Area. You have the legal guarantee of conformity for digital services and the right of withdrawal described in section 15.4. Our point of contact for authorities and users under the Digital Services Act is help@eventscollab.com, in English, Spanish, French, Italian or Portuguese. We have not yet appointed a representative in the European Union; until we do, contact us at help@eventscollab.com.

21.2. United Kingdom. Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected. We have not yet appointed a representative in the United Kingdom; until we do, contact us at help@eventscollab.com.

21.3. United States. Some states do not allow certain exclusions or limitations of liability, so some of those in section 17 may not apply to you. California residents: the Department of Consumer Affairs' Complaint Assistance Unit can be reached at 1625 North Market Blvd., Suite N 112, Sacramento, CA 95834, or at (800) 952-5210.

21.4. Canada. If you live in Quebec, the Consumer Protection Act prevails over any clause of these Terms that is incompatible with it, and the limitations of section 17 do not apply to you where that law forbids them. You can read these Terms in French by choosing "Canada (français)" in the app.

21.5. Australia. Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies those guarantees or any right or remedy you have under that law.

21.6. New Zealand. If you use the App as a consumer, the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986 apply, and nothing in these Terms limits your rights under them.

In short: wherever you live, you keep the consumer rights your local law gives you.
